Multan: A high-level delegation comprising Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of leading Chinese agricultural companies visited Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture (MNSUAM). The visit aimed to explore avenues for bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, investment opportunities, and the potential for joint research and academic initiatives.

During the visit, the delegation met with the university administration and faculty members. Detailed discussions were held on key areas including agricultural research, advanced technologies, seed development, mechanized agriculture, value addition, and student and faculty exchange programs. Both sides emphasized the vast potential to further strengthen agricultural collaboration between Pakistan and China, which could contribute significantly to farmer welfare and enhanced agricultural productivity.

On the occasion, a dignified ceremony was also held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, marked by a cake-cutting event. The ceremony paid tribute to Pakistan–China friendship, mutual trust, and long-standing relations.

The university administration welcomed the visit of the Chinese delegation and expressed the hope that it would serve as a milestone toward practical collaboration, joint projects, and the overall development of the agricultural sector.

Among those present were Dean Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Professor Dr. Hammad Nadeem Tahir; Director BlORIC Professor Dr. Mubashir Mehdi; Professor Dr. Salman Qadri; Director External Linkages Dr. Asaf Khan; Dr. Usman Jamshed; and other faculty members.
