World Environment Day is celebrated on May 5, including Pakistan, around the world, the aim of which is to create awareness among the people about the improvement of the environment and the elimination of pollution. Pakistan is one of the 10 countries most affected by climate change in the world. Every year 5th June is celebrated as World Environment Day. World Environment Day is celebrated all over the world on 5th June every year. On this day, talented and talented minds from all over the world gather at one place and present their suggestions on how to improve the environment and what steps should be taken to combat global pollution. So that the earth can be transformed into a beautiful ‘comfortable’ comfortable place to live in. The importance of this day is even greater because the aim is to create awareness among people about how we can protect our environment from various types of pollution. types and can avoid their negative effects which are causing global warming. This is becoming a huge problem today Attention should be directed towards this and protection should be provided to the earth and all the birds and animals living on it so that they can breathe fresh air free from pollution and also protect them from other hereditary diseases so that they can Able to enjoy a rich life. This year the theme of World Environment Day was plastic pollution i.e. it was discussed. On this day, the need to protect the environment from the harm caused by plastic products was emphasized at a general level. Keep the environment free from pollution. Due to pollution, many deadly diseases are not only fatal for us humans but also for water animals and air birds. The purpose of this day is to promote global environmental awareness and take practical steps to protect the environment. The celebration of World Environment Day was started in 1972 by the United Nations General Assembly. Every year the day has a special theme under which various activities and events are organized. Every year the World Environment Day celebration has a special theme that highlights a specific environmental issue. For example, biodiversity, plastic pollution, or climate change. A variety of activities are organized around the world on this day, such as tree planting, clean-up campaigns, environmental workshops, and seminars. The purpose of this day is to create awareness among people about environmental issues and encourage them to improve their environment. World Environment Day reminds us that environmental problems cannot be solved without international cooperation and collective efforts. The day’s events and activities are aimed at encouraging action to protect the environment. Promoting sustainable lifestyles for sustainable use of natural resources. Educational institutions, community centers and other organizations use this day for environmental education. If you look at the most important issue facing mankind today in terms of its survival at the local, regional and global levels, the climate. Struggling with change. Climate change is actually the name of the deterioration in the natural system of the climate, which is mainly due to the deterioration in the methods, routines, uses and desires of humans. Issues such as excessive and unnecessary use and wastage of natural resources such as water, food, timber, and land are exacerbating the problem. The issue of climate change is primarily related to changes in global temperature; Some of the main reasons are the large-scale release of gases that contribute to increasing the temperature, such as carbon dioxide and methane, and the significant reduction in forest area. The term “global warming” is commonly used to refer to climate or climate change, so people often think that it means an increase in the intensity of heat, although this is not true. Climate change can lead to severe and prolonged cold or extreme cold in warm and temperate months. Its effects on the life of the common man may not be immediately noticeable, but such seasons have devastating effects on crops and agriculture. Due to their rich resources, developed countries are fighting the bad effects of climate change to some extent, but due to financial difficulties, lack of research and scientific facilities and lack of trained personnel, developing countries are facing the devastating effects of climate change. To cope with the causes, effects and serious threats of climate change.Coordinated efforts are required at various levels. The work done so far on this subject in the field of education and research in Pakistan is almost negligible. There is an urgent need to establish research centers and modern laboratories in this regard in higher educational institutions, especially universities, and create expert manpower. Some of the most important points of research are examining the local human and natural factors responsible for climate change, knowing the main causes of air pollution and finding out its movement in a timely manner, the effects of climate change on human health, mood and lifestyle. To observe the negative impacts on the environment, spread of diseases, agricultural and commodity production, assess the impact on sensitive ecosystems of land and water and find solutions to counter these impacts and formulate strategies to combat them. World Environment Day reminds us that protecting the environment is our collective responsibility and we must work together to make our earth safe and sustainable.
