Moscow: Tragedy struck in Belgorod as a missile launched by Ukraine demolished a section of an apartment building, claiming seven lives and injuring 17 others. Russian officials reported one of the deadliest attacks in the region, involving Tochka ballistic missiles, Adler, and RM-70 Vampire (MLRS) multiple launch rocket systems.
Eyewitness footage captured the horror as approximately 10 storeys of the building crumbled to the ground. Amidst the chaos, emergency services rushed to the scene, but the situation turned dire as the roof collapsed, forcing people to flee for safety, leaving dust and debris in their wake.
Russian President Vladimir Putin was briefed on the devastating incident by the acting emergencies minister and Belgorod region governor. Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman, condemned the “barbaric” missile attack, highlighting the severity of the situation.
