MIRPUR ( AJK): December 31: “In today’s era of materialism and vested-interest, very few people will be found who have the passion to sacrifice their personal interests for the sake of collective interests, which covers national interest and national progress and prosperity.

Our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Mirpur that speakers, representing various segments of life, expressed these views while paying rich tributes here on Tuesday, to the veteran Kashmiri leader of Jammu Kashmir Liberation League ( JKLL ) (close associate of late AJK President K.H.Khursheed) and U.K based Kashmiri Diaspora community leader Latif Sani Advocate, who died in Birmingham, last week.

Speaking at the Condolence Reference, speakers said “our friend late Muhammad Latif Sani Advocate was a person with such a personality who always sacrificed his personal interest for the national interest”.

Sani, they continued, was a person who coped with the situation gracefully. Latif Sani has always played a key role, so there is no successor of Latif Sani in Mirpur or elsewhere in Azad Jammu Kashmir, they observed.

Paying glorious tributes to the departed leader, former Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court Muhammad Azam Khan said while addressing the condolence reference that late Latif Sani Advocate was a man of high intellect and pen, a hard worker and highly characterful personality who remained a sincere and ideological activist of Jammu Kashmir Liberation League till he breathed last.

Other speakers, besides Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, President Saroshans Professor Muhammad Zaheer Chaudhry, Haji Muhammad Anwar Advocate, Chaudhry Mahfouz Advocate, Syed Nishat Kazmi Advocate, Engr. Iqbal Rattayal, Shaukat Raja Advocate, Shaukat Chaudhry Advocate, Professor Karamat, Chairman Zakat Council Chaudhry Siddique Advocate, Professor Sardar Rab Nawaz Khan, son of the late leader- Wasim Sani, Syed Qaiser Shiraz Kazmi, and nephew Zahoor Rasheed highlighted the salient features of the high character and thoughts of the late Kashmiri leader.

Chaudhry Muhammad Shakeel retired Director Azad Kashmir Radio Mirpur conducted the condolence reference, attended by a large number of the close friends, relatives and tge city elite.

Speakers paid tribute to the late Muhammad Latif Sani in wonderful words. Participants offered special prayer for the depaerted soul, martyrs of Kashmir besides all the deceased of the Ummah.
