DIMDEX 2026 Organizing Committee Highlights Event’s Strategic Growth and Commercial Impact in Diplomatic Briefing

Doha, October 13 (QNA) – The Organizing Committee of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026) held a diplomatic briefing at the Amiri Naval Forces Base in Umm Al Houl, ahead of the ninth edition of the globally recognized defence and maritime security event.
The briefing was attended by HE Commander of the Amiri Naval Forces Major General (Navy) Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti, ambassadors, military and commercial attachés, and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Qatar. Committee officials presented key logistical arrangements, participation details, and new developments positioning DIMDEX as a leading platform in the global defence industry.
Organized and hosted by the Qatar Armed Forces, DIMDEX 2026 will take place from January 19–22, 2026, under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). The event will be held under the theme: “A Global Hub for Defence Innovations: Invest in Possibilities to Shape a Secure Tomorrow.”
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari, highlighted that DIMDEX has become a major international meeting point for defence cooperation and strategic partnerships. He noted that the 2026 edition will feature more than 200 national and international companies and eight major national pavilions, with the exhibition extended to four days for the first time. Specialized workshops will be held from January 20–22, providing exhibitors an opportunity to present cutting-edge technologies and future defence solutions.
The Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC), organized by Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies, will run alongside DIMDEX under the theme “Defence Diplomacy and Maritime Security Challenges.” The conference will bring together naval commanders, academics, and defence experts to discuss maritime security and multilateral cooperation in protecting critical sea routes.
Spanning 40,000 square meters across seven halls at QNCC, DIMDEX 2026 is expected to attract thousands of visitors and strengthen Qatar’s role as a regional hub for defence innovation and global cooperation, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
