The upcoming visit of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, to attend the Earthna Summit 2025 in Qatar has sparked renewed hope among the 420,000 Bangladeshis currently residing in Doha.
Dr. Yunus is scheduled to take part in the Earthna Summit on April 22–23 in Msheireb Downtown Doha, where key topics such as sustainability, innovation, and global cooperation will be discussed. His participation is expected to enhance bilateral relations and open new avenues of cooperation in areas such as manpower, energy, and sustainable development.
One of the major highlights of his visit will be a two-and-a-half-hour high-level session on April 23, focused on exploring long-term solutions to the Rohingya crisis — a matter of pressing concern for Bangladesh and the region.
In addition, Dr. Yunus will engage in meetings with officials from Qatar Energy, manpower authorities, global investors, and leading business figures. These discussions are anticipated to encourage increased employment opportunities for Bangladeshis and promote investment in critical sectors back home.
Dr. Yunus has also been invited by Al Jazeera Network to visit its headquarters for a special engagement, and he is expected to meet with representatives of several international development communities to discuss strategic collaboration.
