Early settlement of Kashmir Issue only key to emergence of everlasting peace in South Asia : Speakers

MIRPUR ( AJK): May 1st: Addressing a mammoth gathering hosted here on Thursday to mark World Laborers Day, former Central President of Pakistan National Students Federation Momin Khan Momin said that emergence of ever lasting peace in South East Asia was possible only in resolving the core issue of Kashmir in line with wishes of the Jammu Kashmir people.

Our Special Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Mirpur AJK that the ceremony was managed by Jammu Kashmir People’s National Party at Kashmir Press Club Mirpur complex to observe May Day, the the International Workers Day.

JKPNP central leader Aslam Watanov chaired the ceremony.

Former Central President of Pakistan National Students Federation Momin Khan Momin was the chief guest on this occasion.

Speaking on this occasion former Chairman of JKPNP Zulfiqar Ahmed Raja Advocate called for early grant of the right to self-determination to Jammu Kashmir people under the sporit of international norms and commitments. Raja termed the grant of of right to self determination, key to the solution to the Kashmir issue.

He said that the people of Jammu Kashmir state will continue the Kashmir freedom struggle with full vigor till it reach to its logical end.

Supreme Court Bar President Najam Al-Saqib Advocate, eminent intellectual Shams Rehman, JKPNP Central Secretary General Sardar Wajid Ali Advocate, Shahzad Hasrat, Sardar Azim Advocate, Ehtishamul Haq Advocate, Jabbar Kasher, Chaudhry Munir Hussain Advocate, Tahir Mujtaba, Ehsan Tassaduq, Majid Ali and Shakoor Mughal while addressing the ceremony paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Chicago who laid down their lives 139 years ago in 1886.

The speakers called for raising the salary package of the laborers, working class and demanded that the workers should be paid according to their hard work so that the children of the workers could also be benefited of health and education facilities beingprovidedby the government.

Speakers accused landlords, capitalists and industrialists themselves of amassing wealth with both hands by avoiding to pay due wages to the workers, farmers and laborers according to their hard work, which, the speakers termed blatant abuse and injustice.

Speakers underlined thar even by the current era in various parts of the world, the working classes was busy struggling like the workers of Chicago to secure their due rights. The working classes, they added, will achieve their rights through their unity and consensus.
