Cairo, May 12 (QNA) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed regional developments in separate phone calls with his Omani and Iranian counterparts, Badr Al Busaidi and Abbas Araghchi.
In a statement released on Monday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the discussions focused on the fourth round of indirect negotiations between the United States and Iran regarding the Iranian nuclear file.
Minister Abdelatty was briefed on the latest progress in the talks, which were hosted by the Sultanate of Oman.
During the calls, Abdelatty commended the continued commitment of both the American and Iranian sides to the diplomatic path, as well as Oman’s mediation efforts. He reiterated Egypt’s full support for initiatives aimed at achieving peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomatic channels.
He also expressed hope that the negotiations would narrow differences, help de-escalate tensions, and promote greater security and stability across the region
