MIRPUR ( AJK): August 3: A former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir and President Azad Jammu Kashmir chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has been arrested by AJK police from Bhimbher under Section-3 of 16-MPO (Maintainamce of Public Order), police said.

When contacted, DIG Police Mirpur Division Dr. Liaqat Hussain told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao late Sunday that Mr. Niazi, also member of Azad Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly, was later taken into custody by Mirpur District police from Bhimber and was sifted to Mirpur Industrial Estate Rest House, which has been declared Sub Hail by District Magistrate Mirpur.

At the same time in a beief telephonic talk, Mirpur Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz Chaudhry also confirmed to this J & K State Correspondent the arrest of Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, the PTI AJK Chapter’s President.

Meanwhile, a search operation has reportedly been launched in various parts of Azad Jammu Kashmir to round up several of wanted PTI AJK activists under the concerned sections of the Maintainance of Public Order ( MPO).
