Kashmiris across the Line of Control, in Pakistan and abroad observe each year on October 27 as the Black Day against the illegal occupation of parts of Jammu and Kashmir state by India since this day in the year 1947. I may state the fact at the outset of this write-up that even the UN Security Council (UNSC) had rejected the occupation of Kashmir by India on the reference of Kashmir by India in the UNSC on Jan. 1st, 1948. Not only this UNSC has never accepted India’s claims on Jammu and Kashmir. But despite this UNSC rejection India keeps Kashmir occupation by the force of her military. Present one million Indian forces keep Kashmir under their aggressive boots. Day in day out stories of Indian atrocities against Kashmiris are published all across the world. A heap of clips of these stories must be interspersed across the UNSC record over Kashmir dispute.

India for the first time in history had landed her troops on Oct 27, 1947 in Srinagar 78 years ago. India left no gimmick to strangulate the people of Jammu and Kashmir.But she failed, failed miserably. Why Kashmiris are resisting India in Jammu and Kashmir? It is a simple question being asked all over the world by think tanks, other analytical fora. Kashmiris resist India because India is alien in Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir does not belong to India, has never been throughout history.

Note worthy fact on Kashmir is that India despite accepting UNSC rulings for a fair international plebiscite in J&K sits on the UN mandate unimplemented. India claims herself to the democracy, but here in Jammu and Kashmir her anti-people that is anti-democracy faced is exposed to the hilt. Whole world is seeing this double face.

Pakistan as party to the dispute in UNSC has tried every way, every methods – multilateral, bilateral, international via UNSC to reach the UN devised Kashmir solution roadmap. But all ways India oppose. UN charter says no material change can be effected in any disputed region, when dispute is on the UNSC agenda. India is flouting this charter for past 78 years in J&K: she made territorial bifurcation of the J&K, abrogated Article 370 that guaranteed special status to J&K state.

It is no less serial atrocities that thousands of Kashmiris youths, women, children, aged have been illegally imprisoned in torture cells. Thousands have been murdered. To have Hindu population parallel to that of Kashmiris Indian government has planted thousands of Hindu families, her atrocity tools in Jammu and Kashmir. World should refocus on this type of face India wears in J&K. Therefore Oct 27 Black Day is a Human Call to the entire global community to rescue Kashmiris from occupation of one million Indian armed forces in J&K
