Israeli airstrikes continue to devastate the Gaza Strip, with at least 44 more Palestinians killed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll since October 2023 to 51,201, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The ministry also reported 145 new injuries, raising the number of wounded to 116,869 since the beginning of the Israeli offensive. Rescue efforts remain severely hampered, with many victims still trapped beneath the rubble or lying unattended on the roads due to ongoing hostilities.
Despite a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in effect since January, Israel launched a fresh aerial assault on March 18, resulting in 1,827 deaths and 4,828 injuries in a single day.
International scrutiny continues to grow. In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice, further intensifying global calls for accountability.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen, with no immediate end in sight to the Israeli military campaign.
