Doha: Dr. Amanulla Vadakkangara, distinguished author, multilingual journalist, academician, and CEO of Media Plus, Doha, has been honored with the Global Ratna Award by the Malayalee Festival Federation. The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to literature, language education, media, and community service worldwide.
Last month, he became the first expatriate author to publish 100 books in multiple languages, reflecting his lifelong dedication to knowledge dissemination and literary excellence.
The award will be formally presented on 2nd January 2026 at the Crowned Plaza Hotel, Cochin, in a ceremony attended by eminent figures from literature, education, media, arts, and socio-cultural fields, along with guests from India and abroad.
Internationally acclaimed for his pioneering work in Spoken Arabic education, Dr. Amanulla has authored landmark books transforming Arabic learning for non-native speakers. He played a key role in introducing Arabic as a second language in Indian schools in Qatar, later expanded nationwide.
As Founder and CEO of Media Plus and Chief Editor of the Qatar Business Card Directory, he has significantly influenced the Gulf’s media and branding landscape.
Previously, he has received honors including the CH Muhammed Koya Award, Pravasi Bharati Kerala Award, Mea Market Award, Calicut University Awards, and URF Award. His motivational work, Vijayamanthrangal, has inspired readers and listeners worldwide.
The Global Ratna Award celebrates his literary achievements and role as a cultural ambassador, bridging languages, communities, and nations.
