Global Voices Unite for Justice: Webinar Honors incarcerated Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik’s Struggle for Kashmir’s freedom:

MIRPUR ( AJK): Oct. 13 : Marking the World Day Against the Death Penalty, a global webinar titled “Justice for Yasin Malik” brought together human rights defenders, legal experts, and peace advocates from around the world.

“For the first time, members of Yasin Malik’s family, including his sister and campaign spokesperson Abida Malik, participated — making the event, hosted from
Dallas, Texas, USA, yesterday, deeply emotional and historic”, our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Mirpur quoting message reaching here on Monday.

Distinguished speakers included Dr. Rick Halperin Head of Department of Human rights program at SMU University Texas and former president of Amnesty International , who leads the global campaign, Beverly Hill, Bill president of World wide campaign for women rights Bill Maxwell former President of Dallas Peace and Justice Center, Aftab Siddiqui present President of DPJC, Philip Bennion, ( former MEP ) Patricia Murphy DPJC, Barister Toseef Kamal of American Bar Association and others.

Moderated by Kazi Mujeeb and Javed Iqbal , the session called for Yasin Malik’s immediate release from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail. on humanitarian and legal grounds.

Raja Muzaffar, Coordinator and Chairman of Kashmir Committee at Dallas Peace and Justice Center of the Justice for Yasin Malik Campaign, said “This was not just a seminar — it was a global voice of conscience rising for justice, peace, and human dignity.”

A global event brought together 58 participants from around the world, who shared messages of solidarity and support. Renowned speakers, including Dr. Rick Halperin, Beverly Hill, Bill Maxwell, Philip Bennion, Patricia Murphy, Don Dillard, Aftab Siddiqui, Barrister Toseef Kamal, Hadi Jawad, Dr. Mubeen Shah, Abida Malik sister of Yasin Malik, seasoned Kashmiri independent analyst and historian Shabbar Hussain from Mirpur AJK, Ashfaq Malik nephew of Yasin Malik, Raoof Kashmiri, Toqeer Gillani, Aslam Mirza, Kazi Mujeeb, Javed Iqbal, Umer Zaman, Haleem Khan, Sohaib Khan, Mrs. Sabira Sultana, Ms. Ayah Khan, Nazam Bhatti, and Fatima Mir, called for Yasin Malik’s immediate release.

Moderated by Kazi Mujeeb and Javed Iqbal, the event concluded with Raja Muzaffar emphasizing: “This was not just a seminar – it was the heartbeat of global conscience rising for justice, peace, and human dignity.” Raja Muzaffar appealed to join the global movement and be a voice for justice.

Muzaffar thanked all speakers and reaffirmed the campaign’s resolve to intensify international advocacy for Yasin Malik’s freedom and the protection of human rights everywhere.
