Istanbul, October 19 – The Global Zero Waste Forum in Istanbul has brought together international experts, policymakers, and UN officials to advance collective action toward a cleaner and more sustainable planet.

Türkiye’s First Lady Emine Erdogan emphasized the global significance of the event, saying, “We united our voices in Istanbul for our shared home, the world.” She noted that Istanbul now stands as a global hub for environmental responsibility and innovation, representing humanity’s shared resolve to protect nature for future generations.

In her message posted on Türkiye’s social media platform NSosyal, Mrs. Erdogan highlighted that the forum responds to “nature’s call” by strengthening cooperation on zero waste practices and long-term sustainability goals.

Running from October 17 to 19, the forum featured sessions on policy frameworks, recycling systems, and green innovation. Delegates from around the world reaffirmed their commitment to the “Zero Waste” vision championed by Türkiye, aiming to leave behind a cleaner, healthier, and more livable planet for generations to come.
