Greed has overtaken politics in AJK

MIRPUR ( AJK): July 7 ( APP ): : Azad Jammu and Kashmir region has been traditionally upheld as the base camp for freeing the people from Indian occupation in the territory of the state called India- illigally occupied parts of Jammu and Kashmir state.

According to a study report by this APP AJK Correspondent, the ground reality is that the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has never accepted Indian false claim to Kashmir. New Delhi’s airy stance that the last Maharaja Hari Singh had acceded to India never found any approval by the UNSC. It was after plain rejection of Indian unwarranted and socalled claim over Kashmir as its “integral part” that the UNSC approved Kashmir resolutions for free, fair, international plebiscite in the state, a UN decision India continues not to implement. Now this is the core dispute into the broader dispute of Jammu and Kashmir State.

This Correspondent gives briefest background to the Kashmir dispute for highlighting what role the freed part of Azad Jammu Kashmir is destined to play for deliverance of India-occupied parts and people of J&K. Governance running in Muzaffarabad was not the objective. Muzaffarabad capital was for the objective. But greed politics has negatively affected the ideology of Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan. Actors are politicians and political parties. Each political forum has carved out its own greed grid. Today political actors are in one party, tomorrow in another throwing back the Kashmir liberation agenda. Horrendous! AJK political parties have failed to project the historic stand of the UNSC for plebiscite. Can any party show even a verbal claim of having done any solid role in this respect? This scribe is not rapping them, nor pointing out their ideological failure. This dire failure has turned them to greed politics – public horse trading.

India has completely changed the geo-political face of the Occupied Kashmir. But Muzaffarabad focused political parties, 34 registered with AJK Election Commission, did little role to project the changes. Simple fact is that under UN charter geo-political changes in any disputed region cannot be made. Even this standing stance AJK political parties could not sell out to the world. Keeping in view the given circumstances it is far better that Muzaffarabad seat should be handed over to J&K Ideological Council. The Council should project the ideological aspect of the Kashmir dispute.
