H.E. Minister Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi meets senior Japanese energy industry leaders

DOHA, Qatar • 10 November 2025 – His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, held meetings in Tokyo today with senior Japanese energy industry leaders on cooperation in the energy sector.
H.E. Minister Al-Kaabi met with senior executives of major energy and electric power companies including Mr. Yukio Kani, the Chairman & Global CEO of JERA, Mr. Kenichi Hori, the President & CEO of Mitsui, Mr. Akiya Kotani, the Executive Vice President of Kansai Electric, Mr. Shunichi Kito, the Representative Director and President & CEO of Idemitsu, Mr. Shigeru Yamada, the Representative Director and Group CEO of Cosmo Energy Holdings, and Mr. Fujita Masahiro, the Representative Director and Chairman of JAPEX.
Discussions during the meetings focused on existing and future cooperation and further strengthening bilateral relations in the energy sector.
