Doha, Qatar | 14 October 2025:

 Inaugurated by His Excellency Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Big 5 Construct Qatar and INDEX Design Qatar officially opened at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

Taking place until 16 October, the events offer a full spectrum of build and design solutions under one roof, bringing together more than 150 exhibiting companies from over 25 countries and uniting professionals across construction, design, fit-out, project management and procurement. This convergence highlights how construction and interiors are collectively advancing Qatar’s development agenda while enabling collaboration that supports the country’s infrastructure and strategic growth objectives.

“Big 5 Construct Qatar and INDEX Design Qatar bring together a mix of local, regional and international industry professionals with the expertise, products and partnerships that are driving Qatar’s construction and interior sectors forward,” said Muhammed Kazi, Senior Vice President, dmg events, organizer of the events. “Over the next three days, the exhibitions will offer valuable opportunities for collaboration, business development and knowledge exchange.”

On the opening day of the event, the exhibition halls quickly filled with activity as companies showcased advanced products, design concepts and sustainable solutions supporting the nation’s ambitions. At Big 5 Construct Qatar, visitors explored brands such as Embasol Steel Mills, a manufacturer of high-volume steel tubes and pipes for large-scale construction; Le Global Design, a provider of renovation and turnkey interior services;  Mikroton Kimya San, a provider of electrostatic powder coating technologies certified by Qualicoat and ISO standards; Sacoqa, a distinctive interior and exterior brick façade solutions provider; and Technotrade Trading & Contracting, a specialist in advanced protective coatings and flooring systems.

Complimenting these showcases, INDEX Design Qatar brought forth key brands such as, Designer Impex, presenting home décor, barware, garden pieces and bathroom accessories; IKEA, offering interior solutions for residential and commercial spaces; and Seiho Machinery & Electric (Nexen Power Track), displaying smart interior track systems designed to combine flexibility with contemporary finishes.

Professional development takes centre stage at Big 5 Talks

 Opening with strong attendance on the first day, the CPD-certified Big 5 Talks featured thought-provoking sessions from leading speakers such as Engr Amna Al-Baker, Corporate BIM Lead at Ashghal; Daniel Glasswell MRICS, Commercial Director at Qatar Rail; Robert Kidd FRICS, Director – Program Cost Consultancy at AECOM; and Adrian Camps FRICS, Head of Valuation & Consultancy at Capstone. Discussions spanned sustainability, project management, infrastructure delivery, engineering excellence and digital technologies, highlighting the sector’s collective drive to strengthen Qatar’s construction ecosystem in line with national development priorities.
