ICC Eves Toastmasters Celebrates Onam Vibes at Meeting 334

On September 24th, 2024, ICC Eves Toastmasters hosted their 334th meeting with the vibrant theme of “Onam Vibes,” celebrating the spirit of Kerala’s harvest festival in a traditional and festive atmosphere. The meeting was a memorable blend of learning, laughter, and cultural festivity.

The session was officially opened by Sergeant-at-Arms Bharati Shetty, who set the tone for the event by welcoming everyone and introducing the President of the club. The President greeted the guests and members, expressing gratitude for their presence, and went on to introduce the Toastmaster of the Day, Tara Ashish.

Toastmaster Tara Ashish smoothly conducted the proceedings by introducing the role-players for the day and led the speech session. The meeting featured two engaging speeches: TM Chaitali Mehta delivered an informative speech on “Natural Ways to a Healthy Life,” highlighting simple yet effective lifestyle changes, while TM Ambily Vinod entertained the audience with her humorous take on the differences between past and present Onam celebrations.

An important highlight of the meeting was the Moments of Truth session conducted by Area 18 Director, Smita Manoj, who shared insights for the club’s growth. Additionally, TM Abhishek Chattopadhyay presented an educational module on evaluations, emphasizing the importance of motivation in feedback for the growth of speakers.

The meeting concluded with a general evaluation by Priya Shembekar, who provided valuable feedback on the overall conduct of the session. The event culminated with the traditional Onam Sadya, a feast that brought everyone together in celebration. Members and guests, dressed in traditional attire, left the venue with smiles and fond memories, making this meeting an unforgettable experience for all.
