MIRPUR ( AJK): February 16: n Indian Illegally occupied Jammu Kashmir state veteran Kashmiri human rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Untoo Chairman International Forum Forum For Justice Human Rights JK, feared that the Indian occupational forces intends custodial killing of veteran elderly freedom-loving Kashmiri lawyer – the former Jammu Kashmir High Court Bar Association President 83 year’s old Mian Abdul Quyoom Advocate, who was in jail custody and currently languishing in Government Medical Hospital in Jammu from last two’ months, without any information to his family about his current deteriorated health conditions, says a report reaching here on Sunday from across the line of control.
Untoo said in a statement on Sunday that the jailed veteran elderly legal expert Mian Abdul Qayyum was suffering lot of diseases since past many months.
The HR activist continued as saying “family members, of several senior lawyers, journalists human rights activists including ADV Mian Quyoom, Adv Nazir Ahmed Ronga, both old aged Former Prisident,, Adv Muhmmad Ashraf Bhat secretary General IIOJK High court Bar Association
had already served more than sixteen years in jail but this time it was different as the occupational authorities had malafide designs and they forced Mian Qayyum to death by denying him the medical assistance which was his right as the united nations charter on the disputed occupied state, have given certain rights to prisoners particularly to those who are being imprisoned for their political beliefs but the officials was denied till his last breath, he underlined.
Untoo said that the world dispute of Jammu Kashmir has consumed five lakh lives in Indian and IIOJK prisons in last three and half decades. The innocent Kashmiri detenus, freedom lovers include Scholars, Doctors, Professors, Politicians, Students, Children, Men and Women, he revealed.
“Above are list of some of the Kashmiri prisoners who are detained in various jails across India for the last several years”, the Kashmiri human rights activist said.
“Besides there are many others who are serving life imprisonments in different Indian Jails, he revealed.
Untoo said that the spread of RSS/BJP policies in IIOJK was an open threat to the lives of prisoners. He urged upon the puppet state government to release the innocent Kashmiri prisoners as most of them were under preventive detentions.
Untoo further urged upon the puppet state government to act upon the supreme court decision and release the prisoners in the wake of Health condition. He revealed that most of the Kahmiri prisoners in illegal detention in IIOJK and Indian jails were comorbid patients and their lives were at risk, he feared, according to the report.
