MIRPUR ( AJK): January 18: Local authorities here on Saturday got vacated an Illegally occupied state land belonging to WAPDA, located on the periphery of Mangla Lake, by removing the illegal encroachment of a building, forcibly constructed by the alleged “Qabza Mafia “, it was officially said.

Duty Magistrate-Mirpur-AJK Tehsildar Imran Yousaf Chaudhry told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here Saturday evening that special anti-encroachment squade, turned into action with heavt excavators to remove illegal encroachment on the Special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhry Yasar Riyaz, comprising Tehsildar Imran Yousaf, Naib Tehsildar Mirpur Raja Ejaz Ahmed, along with heavy armed police contingent and conducted a major operation in Jardol Kalan, at the left bank of Mangla Dam reservoir demolished unlawful encroachments comprising rooms, and boundary walls on the WAPDA-owned land, he added.

Duty Magi6 Imran Yousaf said that over 16 kanals of the state-owned land was goy vacated during the anti-encroachment vanishing operation. “All material of the demolished illegal encroachments present at the site was seized”, he said.

Further legal action against the illegal occupant is in progress besides due measures to protect the state property land have been initiated by the local district administration, the Duty Magistrate added.
