Gaza, May 24 – The Gaza Strip has witnessed another day of relentless Israeli airstrikes, resulting in dozens of casualties, primarily among children and women. The attacks mark the 231st consecutive day of the offensive.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli bombings targeted a house in the Al-Fakhoura neighborhood near the Jabalia refugee camp, killing five Palestinians and injuring others. Further strikes in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood claimed two more lives.
Israeli artillery fired shells across various neighborhoods, including Al-Zaytoun, Tal Al-Hawa, Al-Rimal, Al-Sabra, and Sheikh Ajleen. Additionally, Israeli forces advanced toward Kamal Adwan Hospital, besieging medical staff and the injured.
In Juhor Al-Dik, southeast of Gaza City, Israeli artillery targeted civilian homes amid heavy gunfire. Bombings of residential apartments north of Gaza City resulted in multiple injuries. Naval boats continued shelling the Gaza City coast, and quadcopters hovered over the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Yunis.
Israeli military vehicles advanced from eastern Rafah toward the city center, shelling the Shaboura refugee camp area.
Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, the death toll has reached 35,800 Palestinians, with the majority being children and women, and injuries have surpassed 80,200.
