Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran does not seek conflict with neighboring and Muslim countries, emphasizing unity among Islamic nations. In a message shared on the social media platform X on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, he described neighboring countries as “brothers” and stressed that Iran has no intention of engaging in disputes with them.
He stated that divisions among Muslim countries only benefit the Zionist entity, urging regional unity and cooperation. The Iranian president also expressed hope that Eid al-Fitr would bring strength, unity, and solidarity among Muslim nations through following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The statement comes amid ongoing tensions following US-Israeli strikes on Iran that began on February 28, after which Tehran responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel and locations in Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
