Israeli airstrikes have claimed the lives of 30 more Palestinians in Gaza over the past 24 hours, raising the total death toll since October 7, 2023, to 44,835, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Over 106,300 individuals have been injured in the relentless bombardment, which has caused widespread devastation in the besieged enclave.
The ministry reported that Israeli forces targeted families in three separate incidents within the last day, leaving dozens dead and nearly 100 injured. Rescue operations remain hindered, with many trapped under rubble and blocked roads.
Despite international calls for an immediate ceasefire, including a United Nations Security Council resolution, Israeli attacks have persisted into a second year, drawing widespread condemnation. Critics have accused Israel of carrying out a genocidal campaign, citing blockades on aid deliveries and extensive civilian casualties.
In response to these actions, the International Criminal Court (ICC) last month issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its actions in Gaza.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to escalate as calls for accountability and an end to hostilities grow louder worldwide.
