MIRPUR (AJK): March 1: US-based Acting Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (Yasin Malik) Raja Muzaffar has expressed deep concern over reported Taliban aggression against Pakistan, describing the escalating confrontation as a full-scale war threatening regional peace and stability.
In a statement released to the media on Sunday, Muzaffar—who also serves as Chairman of the Peace Committee on Kashmir at the Dallas Peace and Justice Center—voiced alarm at the rising conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan, citing heavy loss of life and the broader risks for South Asia. He condemned the Taliban government’s actions, terming the war a dangerous development for the entire region.
Muzaffar noted that people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, long affected by conflict and suppression, are particularly vulnerable to the consequences of heightened regional tensions. He warned that India’s political and military involvement in Afghanistan could widen the crisis and intensify instability and human suffering.
Emphasizing urgent global engagement, Muzaffar called on the international community to promote restraint and dialogue among all parties before the situation worsens. He stressed that every human life matters—whether in Kabul or Srinagar—and urged replacing militarism and confrontation with dialogue, justice, and empathy, for lasting regional peace.
The statement concluded with an appeal for peace through cooperation, mutual respect, and shared commitment to human dignity across borders.
