JKLF (Y) shows concern over fast deteriorating health conditions of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik in Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail

MIRPUR ( AJK): Oct. 10: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (Yasin Malik) (JKLF-Y) on Friday expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health condition of its illegally incarcerated chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, who for the last over six years is languishing in India’s most notorious Tihar Jail at New Delhi in politically motivated cases filed against him, it was officially stated by the party.

According to Muhammad Rafiq Dar, the party chief spokesman and the special representative of Yasin Malik in a statement issued here from its central information office Friday, said the metallic heart valve of Yasin Malik that was installed in 1990 has been over due to be replaced. Due to the solitary confinement and lack of proper medical care in jail, the health condition of Yasin Malik has aggravated to the extent that it has now become a serious threat to his life, the statement read.

The unsatisfactory latest test reports of his heart valve have confirmed the seriousness of his health condition in the jail, the spokesman added.

Yasin Malik for the last few years during his continuous solitary confinement in Tihar Jail has been complaining about his ailment for which last year he even approached Delhi courts as well to have proper medical treatment, Rafiq Dar informed. He said that despite court orders the jail authorities, on the Modi led government of India’s directives, did not admit him in a hospital for proper medical treatment of the disease.

Rafiq Dar further informed that even now, just two days ago, when Yasin Malik suffered from a serious heart pain the authorities have instead admitted him in the jail hospital which lacks the level of medical care and the facility of undergoing such a major surgery. The spokesman said that Yasin Malik, as soon as possible, needs surgery for heart valve replacement otherwise he is in a continuous danger.

The spokesman warned government of India for serious consequences if anything untoward happens with the most beloved and popular pro-freedom political leader of Jammu Kashmir. He said that the proper medical care is the fundamental right of a prisoner and Indian actions in this regard too are in violations of human rights.

Meanwhile, the party chief spokesman while apprising the people of Jammu Kashmir, in general, and the party cadre, in particular, with the latest health condition of Yasin Malik asked them not to fell prey to the unconfirmed social media news items about Yasin Malik, and the false propaganda being spread against party.
