MIRPUR ( AJK): Feb. 6: “Since hearts of the people of Pakistan and the Himalayan state of Jammu Kashmir state beat in unison, the Kashmiris will leave no stone unturned to reach their ultimate destination- Pakistan through securing their birth right of self determination under the spirit of the UN resolutions”.
These views were expressed by speakers including PML (N) AJK front line leader and ex AJK Minister Ch. Muhammad Saeed, President Mirpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Umer Shehzad Jiraal, senior journalist Zaffar Mughal and others while addressing Kashmir Solidarity Day Pakistan/ AJK flags hoisting ceremony hosted at the Chamber’s lush green lawn here on Thursday.
Like all other segments of the people across Pakistan and AJK, the business community of Mirpur AJK including members of the MCCI also enthusiastically observed the Kashmir Solidarity Day on Feb 5 to reiterate full solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu Kashmir state in the just and principled cause of the Kashmiris birth right to self determination.
The ceremony was attended among others by sitting Senior Vice President, Vice President, executive Committee member ex AJK CCI Presidents including Zulfiqar Abbasi, Raja Muhammad Jamil, Javed Iqbal Ch, Sohail Shujah Mujahid, Azeem Mushtaq, Sohaib Saeed Chaudhry, Khalid Rafique, Chaudhry Ghulam Murtaza, newly- elected Executive Committee member Shehzad Lone, Sohail Uppal and others.
Our Special Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Mirpur that speakers called for immediate resumption of cross LoC trade and travel between both sides of the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir state including occupied Kashmir and AJK- since the Line of Control stands no worth as permanent international border between the two disinterested parts of the internationally-acknowledged disputed Himalayan state, they urged. Speakers underlined that the restoration of trans LoC Trade and travel service will directly benefit the Kashmiris living either side of the LoC through the economic activities in the State.
Speakers said that since Pakistan is the ultimate destination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir state, the observance of the Solidarity day every year by the people of Pakistan and Kashmir is the manifestation of the renewal of deep rooted love and affection by both Pakistanis and Kashmiris for eachother, they added.
“Every year on 5th February Pakistanis renew their pledge to completely support the just cause of Kashmiris and their rightful struggle for self determination”, The PML ( N) AJK leader Chaudhry Saeed continued that the relationship of Pakistan with Kashmiris does not need any elaboration in which the Pakistani nation and every government always let the world know during last 77 years that they can do everything for the protection of the Himalayan Jammu Kashmir state through continuing moral, political, and diplomatic support to Kashmiris just, principled and indigenous struggle for securung their globally acknowledged right to self determination through the liberation of the occupied part of the state from Indian Illegal and forced occupation, he added.
Speaking on this occasion, MCCI President Umar Shehzad Jarral demanded of the international community to play its much needed role to help Kashmiri people attain their right to self-determination guaranteed to them by the United Nations resolutions.
The business community leader said that India’s unlawful presence and expansionist designs pose a serious threat to regional peace.
He said that the India’s forced and unlawful move of August 5, 2019, was meant to alter the region’s demographic change to turn the Muslim majority state into a minority.
Omer said that Indis was involved in nefarious activities of state terrorism in occupied Jammu Kashmir state and cwrtain foreign countries of the world and the countries including Canada and the United States have also condemned it.
Lauding brethren of occupied Jammu Kashmir in the face of Indian state terrorism, he said, India cannot suppress the spirit of freedom of the Kashmiris, the MCCI Presidentsaid business community of AJK stand shoulder to shoulder with thr brethren of IIOJK their struggle for freedom from India’s illegal occupation”, he added.
Senior Kashmiri journalist and ex KPC General Secretary Zaffar Mughal condemned human rights violations committed by the Indian army in occupied Jammu Kashmir and demanded the world to stop bloodshed of innocent Kashmiris. He said that ugly state of affairs in IiOJK in the Indian occupied territory was a big challenge to peace and human rights loving forces thr world over, he added..
