MIRPUR ( AJK): Nov. 28: Turkey-based veteran Kashmir freedom struggle leader in exile from IIOJ&K and former President of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries Dr. Mubeen Shah said on Thursday that the posters depicting plight of innocent Kashmiri women continue suffering brutalities at the hands of Indian illegally occupied Jammu Kashmir state, shed light on the grave situation faced by women in Kashmir due to India’s coward actions against the women folk in the internationally-acknowledged disputed indian occupied region of the Himalayan state.
“The denial of Kashmiris Right of Self Determination has caused widespread suffering, leading to post-traumatic stress disorder among hundreds of thousands of women in Indian occupied part of the disputed Jammu Kashmir State”, Dr. Mubeen Shah, currently in exile in Istanbul, said in a statement issued on Thursdayto mark the ‘International Day For the Eliminationof Violence Against Women ” that observed the world over the otherday, says a message reaching and released to the media here on Thursday.
The Kashmiri leader in exile stated that the enforced disappearances of husbands have resulted in what may be the highest number of ‘Half Widows in the World’. “Who can forget Kunan Pushpora in IIOJK, where the Indian occupational army committed mass rape against an entire village’ ? Despite these atrocities being well-documented, no action has been taken against India, he complained.
Dr. Shah observed as saying “there have been no Economic Sanctions against India allowing other nations to feel emboldened to commit similar crimes and escape accountability”.
” This impunity will persist unless Women worldwide come together and demand justice and action”, he underlined
