Brussels, May 12 (QNA) – HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, met with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, Maxime Prevot, in Brussels on Monday.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments, particularly in the Middle East and Africa, as well as a number of topics of common concern.
The Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation praised the State of Qatar’s ongoing efforts as part of the joint mediation aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He also commended its efforts in supporting the African Union’s efforts to resolve the crisis between the Republic of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
