MIRPUR (AJK): January 04: Azad Jammu Kashmir Information Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nayer has said that the people of Kashmir possess an inalienable right to decide their future through a free, fair, and impartial plebiscite, and that India remains the biggest obstacle to the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.
In his special message on the occasion of the Right to Self-Determination Day, the minister stated that India, through a well-organized and systematic plan, is altering the demographic composition of Indian-occupied Kashmir by settling non-state subjects in the region. He added that Kashmiris who raise their voices in support of the right to self-determination are being subjected to severe state repression and violence.
Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nayer further said that the Kashmir dispute has remained on the agenda of the UN Security Council for decades, but the silence of the international community has provided India with the space to advance its expansionist ambitions. Despite these challenges, he emphasized, the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir are not prepared to relinquish their birthright and internationally recognized right under any circumstances and will continue their struggle until it reaches its logical conclusion.
