Doha, June 10 (QNA) – The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), in collaboration with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB), honored Monday graduates of the fifth batch of Tamheen – a training program tailored to qualify Qataris who do not hold teaching certificates to be involved in the teaching profession.
HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi attended the graduation ceremony for the 43 graduates, as well as HE President of the CGB, Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, who is also the Secretary-General of the National Planning Council.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of MoEHE’s Training and Development Center, Iman Salman Al Mohannadi, hailed the MoEHE’s multiple programs that offer a high-quality training of national cadres to be teachers, in line with the Qatar Vision 2030.
Al Mohannadi also referred to the Ministrys tireless efforts to improve the work environment for teachers, especially the newly hired ones, by providing a package of regulations, policies, qualitative training programs, and career advancement paths that suit their professional experience.
Director of the CGB’s Nomination and Replacement Department, Dhabia Ahmed Al Buainain, said the program goes in line with the needs of the labor market, hailing the CGB’s efforts to provide the labor market with Qatari talents and competencies, and facilitate the procedures for their integration into various fields of work in the government sector, especially the education sector.
Maha Khaled Al Hababi spoke on behalf of the fifth batch graduates, stressing the importance and richness of the programs content, and the information and skills they acquired that qualify them to begin working as teachers.
A pioneering initiative launched by the MoEHE in the academic year 2019-2020, Tamheen has so far produced 141 qualified graduates, making a qualitative addition to the teaching staff in public schools.
