Doha, December 17 (QNA) – The Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of Communications and Information Systems, has launched an upgraded version of the “Metrash” app as part of its digital transformation initiative. This update aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing security, public safety, and service efficiency while maintaining Qatar’s high standards in these fields.
The Ministry announced that the revamped app incorporates cutting-edge technology to deliver a streamlined and user-friendly experience across all smart devices. The redesign includes a modern visual identity, simplified processes, an enhanced user interface, and integration of artificial intelligence for improved functionality.
Key new features include a personal authorization service, enabling users to delegate specific tasks to others, and a family authorization feature, allowing first-degree relatives (such as spouses or children) to register through the app. The app now also offers a personal profile and a “My Procedures” icon to help users track their activities.
Additional services for Gulf nationals, such as ID card renewal and replacement for lost or damaged cards, have been introduced. Payment options have been expanded to include Apple Pay and full-payment capabilities.
The Ministry emphasized that these updates aim to improve accessibility and ensure the safety and convenience of all users, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to leveraging technology for public service advancement.
