Mirpur-AJK to soon have latest Medical facility
exclusively for rehabilitation of women suffering from domestic violence:

MIRPUR ( AJK): March 9: Chairperson SKF Foundation, a non governmental orga.isation. Shabana Khaliq Chaudhry revealed that a gigantic plan to establish a special hospital in Mirpur AJK exclusively for the treatment and rehabilitation of women suffering from mental illnesses is under consideration of his organisation to provide better medical facilities to the victims of mental and physical torture in a conducive environment.

Shabana Khaliq Chaudhry, expressed these views while addressing a function held here late Sunday to mark International Women’s Day.

She said that SKF Foundation was working vigorously to solve women’s problems, eliminate domestic violence and oppression. besides to protect the fundamental rights of women in the country including Azad Jammu Kashmir.

She emphasized that strengthening and stabilizing SKF Foundation was the need of the hour to achieve this important goal.

She lamented that many women in the society were becominh victims of domestic violence, injustice and mental stress, who need practical steps for their rehabilitation and support. “SKF Foundation is actively working to provide legal guidance, social support and awareness to such affected women”, she revealed.

Philanthropists, social organizations and related institutions of the society should support the SKF Foundation for the protection of women’s rights and their welfare, she urged

The women rights’ activist said that empowered woman stands as a sign of a civilized and developed society and only through collective efforts can women be provided with a safe environment free from violence and injustice.
