MIRPUR ( AJK): May 16: Azad Jammu Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry while paying eulogizing tributes to armed forces of Pakistan for their historic success against India said that the entire nation is proud of its armed forces who thwarted India’s evil designs and its war madness through effective execution of operation Bunyan al Marsous.

Addressing a reception ceremony hosted in his honor by Dr. Jahangir at his residence in Kotli، Azad Kashmir on Friday, the president said “Modi regime violated Pakistan’s territorial integrity under the guise of a false flag operation in Pahalgam and bombed civilian populations”, the president said, adding that the fascist regime not only used the Pahalgam tragedy to target Pakistan but also persecuting Kashmiris in Indian occupied Kashmir.

Terming Indian aggression a flagrant violation of international law, he said that India martyred innocent civilians including men, women and innocent children by targeting civilian populations on the Line of Control.The Pakistan Air Force, he said, gave a befitting reply to India by shooting down five of its warplanes and destroyed its war madness.

“The Modi government’s Hindutva policies, and war madness stands completely exposed not only in India but also at the global stage”, the president said. He said that the people in India have started criticizing the Modi government and demanding his resignation.He said that from Kashmir to Canada India was involved in terrorist activities all over the world.

“India hid its ugly face under the fig leaf of democracy in the past but following the murder of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Najjar in Canada by the Indian RAW agents India was left badly exposed before the world”, he said, adding that India under the Modi’s rule has now become a certified terrorist sponsoring state in the world.He said that it was high time that the international community should take notice of the war crimes being committed by India and play its due role to stop it from any war aggression.

Welcoming the peace efforts made by the US President Donald Trump, Barrister Chaudhary said, “We thank president trump and welcome his mediation offer to resolve the Kashmir issue”. “The US President’s mediation offer once again brought global spotlight on Kashmir, ” he said, adding that it has virtually debunked India’s concocted narrative that Kashmir is an internal issue.The President reiterated his call for resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions. He also stressed the need for including Kashmiri leadership in talk’s process, emphasising that tripartite talks involving all stakeholders including the people of Kashmir was imperative to find out a lasting solution to the long-standing and unresolved Kashmir issue.He made it clear that durable peace in South Asia was inescapably linked to the settlement of the Kashmir issue.

The function was attended and addressed by government ministers, lawyers and civil society activists including Minister for Finance Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, Minister for Higher Education Zafar Malik, Minister for Rehabilitation Javed Iqbal Badhanvi, Presidential Advisor Chaudhry Mehboob Advocate, Mayor Kotli Chaudhry Taj, President District Bar Association Kotli Chaudhry Razaq Advocate and others.

The speakers on the occasion appreciated the president’s significant contribution in highlighting the Kashmir issue at the global level and his role in the development of Azad Kashmir.Meanwhile, talking to journalists at Dr. Jahangir’s residence, the president commended the Pakistan army for successful execution of the operational Bunyan al Marsous, which compelled India to seek a ceasefire. He said that the time has come for a lasting solution to the Kashmir issue.

He said that the world has by and large realized the fact that there could be no peace in the region unless the Kashmir issue was addressed in its historical perspective.During his visit, the President visited Darbar Alia Gulhar Sharif.The President visited the residence of former Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor to offer his condolences on the sad demise of his son Dr. Sajid Manzoor. He also condoled the death of former Administrator Kotli Chaudhry Bostan (late) and others.
