Looking back at the objectives of the formation of Pakistan, it becomes clear how many noble and lofty goals Pakistan was founded upon, and how many great people’s tireless services and sacrifices of millions of people contributed to its formation. The great purpose behind the creation of Pakistan, for which it was established, needs to be reiterated to both the public and private spheres.

The primary aim was for Muslims to lead their lives in accordance with the enlightened principles of Islam and freely practice their worship. The goal was to establish an Islamic welfare state where the rights of all people could be protected and where coexistence could be achieved. The objective of creating Pakistan was to develop all laws and regulations in accordance with the teachings of Islam, and for individuals to adapt their lives accordingly.

Unfortunately, after the acquisition of the region, Pakistan was maintained only as a struggling state, and the concept of an Islamic welfare state was disregarded by many. Some argue that the sole purpose of creating Pakistan was to acquire land for Muslims, not to establish an Islamic state. In response to these views, the poem of Allama Iqbal is worth mentioning:

“Among these new gods, the greatest is the homeland, which is the shroud of religion. The plunderer’s shoulder bears the religion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Your arm is strong with the power of monotheism. Show the sight of ancient times, O Mustafvi, mix this idol in the dust.”

Undoubtedly, the Islamic way of life forms the foundation of Pakistan’s ideology. Therefore, as Muslims and Pakistanis, it is our foremost duty and right to be grateful to Allah for the blessing of Pakistan, providing us with a land where we can breathe freely, serve Allah, live by the Sharia, fulfill our Islamic obligations without hindrance, and understand the great purpose behind its creation.

It is imperative for us to comprehend the ideology of Pakistan meticulously and adopt it as our plan of action because the ideology of Pakistan is the essence of its existence. We all believe in La Ilaha illa Allah. This land, where we breathe freely, has been nourished with the blood of millions of Muslims and envisioned by countless eyes. This homeland was bestowed upon us as a great reward from Allah in the blessed month. Indeed, the ideology of Pakistan is its defense.

Allah’s mercy upon the people of Pakistan is a result of mentioning His name, and the establishment of a Muslim homeland is due to Islam. Remember, Islam is the sole reason for the existence of Pakistan, and Allah Almighty promised success to those who follow Islam. It is our responsibility to contribute to making Pakistan an Islamic welfare state, to become advocates of peace and faith, and to contribute to the development of a society where peace prevails.

Remember, faith and action are inseparable. The concept of action without faith is erroneous. By becoming true believers in One Allah, we can avoid corruption and prejudice. Belief in One Allah means aligning our selves, feelings, and thoughts with the principles ordained by Allah. When we align our feelings with Allah’s commands, we become true believers. This eradicates communalism, and perfect faith is the key to preventing corruption in society and the nation.
