Pakistan, Egypt Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional De-escalation Efforts

Islamabad, March 29 (QNA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, to discuss regional developments in the Middle East, including efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote a path toward calm.
The two ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing the need for restraint, de-escalation, and resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.
The Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister reiterated his country’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people, strongly condemning the ongoing aggression by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza and the West Bank.
Both sides agreed to continue close coordination in multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
They also expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of defense and security bilateral cooperation and agreed to further enhance this cooperation through the exchange of training and other institutional mechanisms.
