Doha, August 27: The Embassy of Pakistan in Doha hosted an exclusive talk on Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ to commemorate the blessed life, teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The programme was chaired by H.E. Muhammad Aamer, Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, who also addressed the gathering. Atiya Iqbal, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy, served as Master of Ceremonies. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Zakaryya Mohamed Abdel-Hady, Associate Professor of Islamic Thought and Culture at Qatar University’s College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
Dr. Zakaryya highlighted the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ teachings of mercy, compassion, peace and respect, emphasizing their importance in promoting harmony and understanding in society.
The distinguished guests included H.E. Dr. Mehmet Mustafa Göksu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Qatar; H.E. Ali Salehabadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Qatar; H.E. Ashraf Khodjaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Qatar; H.E. Syahda Guruh Langkah Samudera, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Qatar; Her Excellency Roshan Sithara Khan Azard, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar; and H.E. Tchonai Elimi Hassan, Ambassador of Chad to Qatar.
Diplomats and representatives from the embassies of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh also attended the programme.
The event was further attended by prominent members of the Pakistani community in Qatar, officers of the Embassy of Pakistan, the Principal and teachers of Pakistan International School Qatar, academics and other distinguished guests.
Ambassador Muhammad Aamer emphasized the importance of such gatherings in strengthening spiritual bonds within the Pakistani community and promoting interfaith harmony.
The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and their relevance to contemporary society.
The programme concluded with prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, Qatar and the Muslim Ummah.
