Pakistan Envoy in UAE extends support to flood victims

Abu Dhabi, Aug. 17, 2025 – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has expressed sorrow and condolences over the tragic loss of lives and destruction caused by recent floods in Pakistan. The calamity has affected districts including Buner, Swat, Bajaur, Shangla, Mansehra, and parts of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Ambassador Tirmizi described the disaster as a trial for both affected families and the nation. He urged the Pakistani community in the UAE to stand united, share grief, and extend support to those suffering.
As a mark of solidarity, the Ambassador announced the postponement of Independence Day celebrations in the UAE.
“May Allah Almighty grant eternal peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families,” he prayed.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s resilience in overcoming challenges, stressing that unity and compassion from communities abroad would help provide relief and recovery to those enduring this tragedy.
