Pakistan Welfare Forum (PWF) in partnership with Qatar Charity (QC) will organise a fund-raising event for the Pakistani community on March 14.
The decision to organise the event was taken during the general body meeting of PWF Founding Executive Committee (FEC) members and Steering Committee (SC) members held on Saturday.
Khalid Sajjad Bhatti, President PWF, briefed the participants about his recent meetings with QC officials regarding the preparation of the forthcoming event. “We are grateful to the QC officials for their continued support to PWF projects for the benefit of low-income families and workers throughout the year. They have assured of every cooperation for our next fund-raising event,” said Bhatti during the meeting.
FEC members endorsed the suggestion submitted by SC members to organise a successful fund-raising event and underlined the importance of reaching out maximum number of compatriots so that they can come forward and strengthen PWF hands in carrying out welfare activities for the needy Pakistanis.
QC and PWF joined hands for the welfare of Pakistani expatriates in 2018. This strategic partnership complements the efforts of both the organisations which seek to contribute significantly to meeting the social, education and medical needs of the low-income community members.
PWF’s flagship education programme is for children who are out of school due to social, economic, cultural or any other reasons. PWF’s efforts have led to establishing of Assalam schools in partnership with Education Above All Foundation, Qatar Charity, Ministry of Awqaf and Ministry of Education.
