Islamabad, July 04 (QNA) – The Pakistani army announced today the killing of 30 militants during an attempted infiltration into Pakistani territory.
In a statement, the army explained that its forces detected the movements of the militants who were trying to cross into the town of Hassan Khel in Waziristan District, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in the northwest of the country.
The army said that its forces surrounded the militants and managed to eliminate them following an exchange of fire, adding that a large cache of weapons in the militant’s possession was seized.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region has witnessed a rise in security tensions in recent times, with several clashes erupting between government forces and hostile armed groups
