Islamabad, May 12 (QNA) – Pakistan’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, discussed in a telephone conversation with his British counterpart, David Lammy, the regional state of play.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination on matters of shared interest, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported in a statement.
Two days ago, India and Pakistan announced that they had reached a ceasefire deal following U.S.-mediated talks.
The border regions between the two nations witnessed a military escalation, including missile strikes, as well as mortar shelling and drone attacks.
These events transpired following a deadly attack that took place in late April in the Indian-administered sector of Jammu and Kashmir, claiming the lives of 26 individuals in the tourist city of Pahalgam.
