The annual Pakistani Mango Festival, organized by the Sohni Dharti Forum, drew a large and diverse crowd on Thursday, July 3, at Al Waha Club parking in Al Khor Community, Qatar. The event celebrated Pakistan’s beloved national fruit and showcased the vibrant spirit of community life.
Sohni Dharti Forum represents Pakistanis working in Qatar’s LNG sector and residing in Al Khor. The forum has consistently organized this festival to promote the unmatched taste and aroma of Pakistani mangoes.
Held from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the festival attracted hundreds of residents who eagerly purchased more than 1,000 boxes of premium mangoes, offered at affordable prices. The mangoes, supplied by Sundar Trading, were praised for their freshness and rich flavor.
Social media platforms were effectively used by Sohni Dharti Forum to promote the event, contributing to the impressive turnout. The event was managed efficiently, thanks to the dedication of the Sohni Dharti executive committee.
Present throughout the festival were Chairman Mr. Anwar Ali Rana, President Mr. Umar Khayyam, and members Mr. Javed Alvi, Mr. Masoodudin, Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Mr. Mohsin Ali, and Mr. Ghulam Farid. They supervised arrangements and ensured a smooth experience for attendees.
Visitors of various nationalities expressed appreciation for the well-organized celebration and commended the forum’s efforts to promote cultural exchange through such events.
In his concluding remarks, Chairman Mr. Rana extended heartfelt thanks to the Al Khor residents and Al Waha Club management for their support and cooperation in facilitating the festival.
The event once again affirmed its reputation as a highly anticipated multicultural celebration in Al Khor’s annual calendar.
