Pakistani PM, Iranian President discuss Bilateral relations, regional developments

Islamabad, August 03 (QNA) – Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met in Islamabad on Sunday with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and discussed strengthening bilateral relations in a variety of fields.
In a joint press conference with the Iranian leader, Sharif underscored the two nations’ desire to elevate their trade exchange volume from USD 3 billion to USD 10 billion as soon as possible, with the two sides signing a raft of documents to be converted into agreements.
For his part, Pezeshkian stressed the importance of advancing trade and economic cooperation, something that would contribute to the progress, prosperity, peace, and stability in the region.
In a related matter, both sides deliberated on the situation on the regional stage, particularly the consequences of the Israeli aggression on Iran and the Gaza Strip.
