Ramallah, March 26 (QNA) – The Palestinian Presidency renewed its demand Tuesday for the importance of stopping the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and creating an atmosphere that leads to a political horizon to put an end to the problems facing the region and the world.
The ministry welcomed the constant statements made by the United States in calling for stopping the war and warning the Israeli entity of the consequences of invading Rafah city, along with the possibilities of unprecedented casualties among the civilian victims.
These American statements are increasingly significant, especially those made by the US Vice President Kamala Harris in which she affirmed that all options are on the table, along with the remarks of the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin who stressed that protecting the Palestinian civilians from harm is a moral and strategic imperative, describing the situation in Gaza as humanitarian catastrophe, the Palestinian Presidency confirmed in a statement.
The statement underscored the significance of the role performed by the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations by abstaining from voting, which led to the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, considering it a step in the right direction, reminding the remarks of the US presidential candidate Donald Trump when he said that the Israeli entity is losing support and must finish up this war.
