Palestinian President to QNA: Security of Qatar is Integral Part of Arab, Islamic National Security

Doha, September 14 (QNA) – HE President of the sisterly State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas affirmed that the brutal Israeli attack on the sisterly State of Qatar constitutes a grave violation of international law and a dangerous escalation threatening Arab, regional, and international security.
In an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), ahead of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit to be held in Doha Monday, His Excellency stressed that Qatar’s security is an integral part of Arab and Islamic national security, affirming that all stand united in confronting such attacks.
On the repercussions of the aggression, HE described it as a dangerous indicator seeking to undermine collective Arab and Islamic security and destabilize the region. He underscored that a unified response is essential to safeguard shared security.
Regarding the Arab position, he emphasized that the stance must rise to the level of the challenge through diplomatic steps, urgent deterrent measures, and accountability for Israel’s violations against Qatar, Palestine, and other Arab countries. He further called for the urgent entry of humanitarian aid, withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza, cessation of settlement activity in the West Bank and Jerusalem, return of Palestinian funds, reconstruction efforts, and an end to the occupation with East Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital, in line with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
HE praised Qatar under HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for its steadfast support of the Palestinian cause, noting its pivotal mediation role, alongside Egypt, in halting Israeli aggression, releasing prisoners, and defending Palestinian rights.
Concluding, the Palestinian President said that targeting residential areas in Qatar aims to undermine Arab and Islamic unity, but the Doha summit proves the nation’s resilience and cohesion in facing aggression.
