Multan, February 27, 2026: A prestigious ceremony for the distribution of laptops under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme was held at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan.
The chief guest, Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz), Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission, distributed laptops among the students. Approximately 400 students of the university were selected on merit under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme. The initiative aims to provide students with access to modern educational resources and support them in acquiring contemporary skills.
Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said the Government of Pakistan is undertaking several initiatives for the educational and professional development of youth, and the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme is one of the key programs through which students are directly benefiting. He emphasized that students should use the laptops responsibly and play a positive role in national development.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asif Ali (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) said laptops can be a game changer in students’ academic lives, provided they are used for constructive and productive purposes. He encouraged students to focus on research, online learning, and effective use of modern technologies.
On the occasion, students expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the Higher Education Commission and pledged to fully utilize these facilities to enhance their academic capabilities and contribute actively to the country’s progress.
The ceremony was attended by deans, directors, administrative officials, Laptop Scheme Focal Person Dr. Abdul Razzaq, faculty members, and a large number of students.
