WASHINGTON, April 26- New polls show that former U.S. President Donald Trump is losing support among American voters, including a notable decline within his own Republican Party.
According to recent surveys conducted by major U.S. polling organizations, an increasing number of Americans express concerns over Trump’s leadership, legal battles, and approach to key national issues. Analysts note that while Trump remains influential in Republican circles, cracks are appearing as some voters question his ability to lead the party to future victories.
One poll revealed a sharp decline in Trump’s favorability ratings, with independent voters and suburban Republicans playing a key role in the shift. Concerns over ongoing criminal investigations, particularly related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election results, have fueled skepticism even among previously loyal supporters.
In addition, younger Republicans and moderate conservatives are showing growing interest in alternative candidates, signaling possible challenges for Trump as he seeks to solidify his position ahead of the 2024 presidential race.
Political experts say these trends could reshape the Republican Party’s strategy moving forward. “While Trump still commands a strong base, these numbers suggest a significant erosion that could impact primary contests and the general election,” one analyst commented.
Despite the setbacks, Trump maintains a vocal presence on the campaign trail, dismissing poll results as biased and reaffirming his commitment to “Make America Great Again.” However, the new data indicates a shifting landscape that could complicate his path back to the White House.
