Pope Francis’ health is showing slight improvement as he continues treatment at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, according to the Vatican. He is relying less on high-flow oxygen therapy and, at times, managing without it. At night, he uses non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
The swelling in his hand, previously visible in photos, has started to subside. His condition remains stable as he undergoes respiratory and motor therapy.
The Pope spent the day in prayer, resting, and performing some work. A more detailed medical update is expected on Wednesday, with general updates to be provided to the media tomorrow evening.
