Doha, January 27 (QNA) – HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and his brother HE Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan held an official talks session today at the Amiri Diwan.
At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed HE the Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council and the accompanying delegation, expressing hope that the visit plays a role in enhancing bilateral cooperation and advancing it to broader horizons.
For his part, HE Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome, stressing his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations to advance the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The meeting dealt with discussing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in different fields, in addition to discussing developments in Sudan, international efforts made to establish security, stability, and peace that maintain the unity and sovereignty of Sudan over its land.
HH the Amir and HE the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council also held a meeting that dealt with exchanging views on the most prominent and latest regional and international developments of joint interest.
The meeting was attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Chief of Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and several of Their Excellencies ministers and ranking officials.
On the Sudanese side, the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Mohi El Din Salem, Director of the Office Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Major General Adel Sabedrat, and several of Their Excellencies ranking officials members of the official delegation.
