Doha, November 10 – HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Monday, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding strategic partnerships across multiple sectors.
At the start of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed the Slovenian President and her delegation, expressing hope that her first visit to Qatar would mark a new phase in relations between the two countries. His Highness emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, and technology, underscoring the shared commitment to advancing mutual interests.
HE President Natasa Pirc Musar conveyed her gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to her delegation and commended Qatar’s growing role in global diplomacy and economic development. She highlighted the convening of the Slovenia-Qatar Business Forum as a reflection of the evolving partnership between the two nations, voicing optimism that it would open new opportunities in commerce, tourism, and innovation.
The discussions also covered regional and international developments, with both leaders reaffirming the importance of dialogue, peace, and cooperation in addressing global challenges.
The session was attended by senior Qatari officials including HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani, HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, and HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi.
On the Slovenian side, the meeting was joined by senior officials including HE Dr. Melita Gabric and HE Matevz Frangez. Following the talks, HH the Amir hosted a luncheon in honor of the Slovenian President and her delegation, reaffirming the friendly and cooperative spirit between Qatar and Slovenia.
