Doha, January 19 (QNA) – HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronized the opening of the ninth edition of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026) at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) on Monday morning.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem, followed by a documentary highlighting the Qatar Armed Forces, their role, and and their missions at the local and international levels. HE Commander of the Qatar Amiri Naval Forces Major General (Navy) Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti then delivered a speech on the occasion.
HH the Amir toured the exhibition, where he viewed the latest technologies and equipment in the maritime defense and security sector, showcased by local and international companies.
The exhibits include advanced systems and solutions related to naval shipbuilding, communications, radar, missiles, sea mines, cybersecurity, counter-piracy operations, artificial intelligence, and other specialized maritime industries and services within the military defense domain.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Sheikhs and Ministers, senior security and military officials, as well as Their Excellencies the Ministers, guests of the conference from brotherly and friendly countries.
